What to Expect at Your Visit
Check in:
In accordance with state and county health department regulations, patients and healthcare providers are required to wear nose and mouth coverings.
When you arrive for your appointment, we will take your temperature and ask if in the past 14 days you have experienced:
– Cough
– Shortness of Breath
– Fever
– Sore Throat
– Muscle Aches
– Chills
If you have experienced these symptoms or if your temperature is above 100.4 we will need to reschedule your appointment.
We will then go immediately to a sanitized exam room to begin the appointment. Should the exam room be unavailable, we may ask that you wait outside the office.
We are limiting the number of people in the office and we ask that you come to your appointment alone if possible. One parent or guardian may accompany young children. If multiple members of your family are scheduled for an eye exam, we ask that only one enter the office and the remaining family wait outside until their appointment time.
Picking out glasses:
Our optical is open but the process of picking out glasses has been modified for your safety. Once a sanitized table is available, our expert opticians will assist you with choosing a frame. Of course this can be challenging while wearing a facemask, but we will do everything we can to make the process easy and enjoyable. Limiting the number of patients in the optical will ensure that a six-foot distance is maintained between patients.
Every frame and area of the dispensary that is touched during your visit will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
We understand that these requirements are not convenient or ideal and we appreciate your help and patience as we work through this difficult time together. We look forward to seeing you for your exam.
